Stainless Steel Chimneys
Stainless steel chimney systems are a popular choice for adding a working chimney into a new or existing property to serve a wood burner. This method of installing a new chimney allows less disturbance than building a new brick chimney and can aid in creating minimal fireplace designs.
Stainless steel chimney systems are constructed from an internal stainless-steel pipe that is surrounded by a second larger stainless-steel pipe. The void between the pipes is filled with an insulating material to keep the high temperatures inside the internal pipe. Chimney systems are tested to ensure that even in the most extreme heat conditions, the outer skin is cool enough not to transfer heat to surrounding combustible materials such as wooden joists. Stainless steel chimneys can be installed either running through the property ceilings, floors and roof or they can run through the external wall at 45 degrees and then up the outside of the property to above the roof level. The chimney comes standard in a shiny stainless steel finish or can be powder coated any color to suit.
