Multi Fuel Stoves

Stoves that Burn Wood and Coal

Multi fuel stoves are designed to burn wood logs and smokeless coal however the better option for the environment is to only use sustainable local dry wood.

Wood and smokeless coal should not be burnt together at the same time. Wood takes its combustion air from above the fire bed and prefers to sit on a bed of wood ash. Coal prefers the combustion air to come from under the fire bed and requires the ash pan to be emptied regularly to ensure a good flow of oxygen.
