The construction or installation of chimneys and flues  is covered by the UK building regulations, Part J of the building regulations sets a standard required to ensure the safe passage of dangerous fumes, through a dwelling, out to the atmosphere, while taking into account surrounding structures, obstructions and required ventilation. There is a science to how a natural draught flue works, ignore this and the results could be disastrous.

Scarlett Fireplaces offer a service whereby we design a chimney flue for a specified appliance or check over existing architects drawings you may have. We supply all relevant chimney products and attend site visits to check site specifics and to advise or train your chosen builder or bricklayer on the correct chimney construction or installation technique. Advising throughout the build process ensures that the chimney is built to specification and so allows us to then install your chosen appliance while satisfying building regulations and our HETAS registration..
