Stoves Designed for Wood Log Burning Only

Some stoves are only designed to efficiently burn wood logs. 

These dedicated EcoDesign ready wood burners ensure that wood is burnt in an efficient and environmentally friendly way with the lowest possible smoke emmissions. Burning wood effectively only occurs by introducing the combustion air from above the fire bed. A stove that burns wood only is not suitable for use with dirty fossil fuels such as coal which requires combustion air from underneath the firebed.
