An interesting fireplace and chimney lining project in a Georgian farm house near Brentwood.
An existing limestone fireplace mantel housed an inefficient open fire, the client wanted better efficiency but insisted on seeing a large fire with none of the usual stove flue pipework on show. We removed the old mantel and enlarged the fireplace chamber to accept an ultra modern French Fondis insert stove with lift up guillotine door that hides inside the stove unit.
