We created this reclaimed brick fireplace with cream stove by removing the original chimney breast to make way for this timeless classic.
Our take on an Essex clay brick inglenook but using Victorian multi yellow stock brickwork instead of the usual Tudor Essex red bricks.
An example of expert craftsmanship, installing reclaimed locally sourced quality materials, to create a stunning Essex style inglenook fireplace. A fireplace design that's wholly sympathetic to its traditional surroundings but with contemporary flair. Our craftsman designed and installed this Essex clay brick inglenook fireplace using multi yellow stock bricks and a reclaimed oak beam. A simple natural slate hearth contrast well with the stock bricks adding texture and interest.
It doesn't end there! This Charnwood Island 3B wood boiler stove is not only beautiful but highly practical as it is connected to a thermal store water tank which links an oil boiler, solar thermal panels and the wood fired boiler. When the stove is alight, the whole house and hot water are heated with wood fuel.
