Why a stove?

Burning wood is not a new concept. However, recent developments in stove designs have put efficient wood burning as a leader in the renewable bio-fuels market.

Whether you are heating one room or require full central heating with
cooking and hot water, there is a stove, cooker or boiler to meet your
needs.

Which stove?

Stoves come in many designs, sizes, colours and heat outputs. It is important to choose the correct output for the area to be heated. We only recommend high-efficiency, clean-burning stoves from well established manufacturers. A good stove will have passed European testing and be compliant with British regulations.

Cheap imports can reverse your good environmental intentions, releasing vast quantities of carbon during manufacture, shipping and failing as efficient wood burners. Quality of service and availability of spare parts should override the decision to save a few pounds!

Always research your chosen stove manufacturer for ethics and appliance efficiencies.

Many of the appliances we recommend have passed clean burning tests that allow wood burning in smoke controlled areas (e.g. London)
